alpha thingy

Bristol Churches Alpha Initiative

When: Decision to be made by Wednesday 10th July

Bristol churches have been given an amazing opportunity to advertise Alpha in Bristol. The Bristol Evening Post have offered a wraparound advert for the Bristol Observer to us for a very low price (£5,500). The observer goes through
250,000 doors in Bristol!!!

So the front page, the back page, the inside of the front and back page would all be ours. Holy Trinity Brompton (HTB) have said they will help with copy and we will add some local testimonies.

This is a fantastic chance to get the Christian message through the letterboxes of most of Bristol, show people that the church is alive and kicking and advertise courses starting in September / October time.  Already some churches (Anglican and Free) in Bristol have said yes this is a great idea, in addition the Bishop of Bristol Mike Hill has given it his full support.

However we need to decide if we can go ahead in the next couple of weeks... ideally we need to know if it's a goer by
10th July!!!

As usual it comes down to money.. but it's not a lot.. we have already been given £2000!  ... so we need to get pledges from you lovely wonderful Alpha churches and any Alpha individual supporters out there for the remaining amount. Please share this email with people in your church or share on facebook too.

Can you let me know if you want your course to be advertised as part of this initiative... the advert would have a page of courses , timings, locations and contact details. We ask for a minimum pledge of £100 but it would be great if you could offer more.  The ad would go out 29th August and you can view a map HERE showing the distribution of the observer so you can see if your church would be covered.

Please email me on or if you can your church or you individually can give financially to this amazing opportunity! Please email here if you have any questions too.

Thanks so much for reading this.. but if this is to happen we do need to shift really quickly.

Thanks and God Bless
