Fairtrade Fortnight Begins!

Fairtrade Fortnight is upon us, and this year The Fairtrade Foundation has launched the campaign with a hard-hitting video that brings the exploitation of children in cheap supply chains closer to home, and calls on us all to end the exploitation by making sure our break is a fair one.

More than 50 businesses and individuals across the region have entered the South West Fairtrade Business Awards, which take place on Friday 10th March at Bristol Cathedral. The ceremony will be presented by Helen Cooper, MD of Neal's Yard Remedies. Book your tickets here.

On Tuesday 28th February, Bristol Fairtrade Network will be attending a special celebration in Parliament hosted by the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Fairtrade with special guest DFID Minister of State, Rory Stewart MP. Keep an eye on our twitter feed for live updates.

Last October, Bristol Fairtrade Network hosted a Golden Ticket Gala, raising more than £3,500 to fund life-changing equipment for Ugandan gold miners.
