Tue 3-Sat 7 Apr - Hope Bristol 2018hope bristol

When: Tuesday 3rd – Saturday 7th April 2018
Where: Various locations throughout Bristol

Hope Bristol 2018 is a citywide opportunity to reach out and bless our city. This 5 day mission, during Easter, Tuesday 3 – Saturday 7 April 2018, will be held in partnership with Soul Survivor and Hope. The vision is to:
  1. Serve local communities in Bristol showing God’s love in practical ways and sharing the good news of Jesus
  2. Build unity within the churches that leads to action
  3. Inspire mission and encourage discipleship both in our local volunteers and the youth brought through Soul Survivor

Hope Bristol 2018 will involve teams of local volunteers and youth from Soul Survivor serving through practical and outreach projects across the city over the 5 day event. Each morning will start with worship and teaching led by Soul Survivor. The young people will then head out in teams to various parts of the city to be involved in local church initiatives. These could include community action projects (like The Noise), children’s clubs, youth cafes, work with the elderly, and evangelism teams.

A steering group of leaders from various denominations and different parts of Bristol will be leading Hope Bristol 2018. The steering group have assigned Müllers as the charity through which Hope Bristol 2018 will be delivered.

We are looking for 100 churches to partner with Hope Bristol. Could you become a Bristol HOPE 2018 Partner? This could include:
  • Host a team during the mission
  • Send a team to the mission
  • Join the practical task force in the build up to the mission
  • Give financially
  • Pray fervently

The mission event was launched on Friday 24th February with a lunch for nearly 200 local church, leaders, youth workers, Christian organisations and interested parties. An evening citywide youth celebration, with guest speaker Mike Pilavachi, was held to share the event with 450 local young people.

Hope Bristol 2018 will be building on initiatives that are already happening across the city this year including Bristol Noise, showing God’s love in practical ways (Saturday 29th April - Monday 1st May 2017) and The Turning, a week long street evangelism project taking place in Bristol 16th – 23rd April 2017. For 2018, Bristol Noise will be partnering with Hope Bristol in April instead running in May.

Mark the dates in your diary (Tuesday 3 – Saturday 7 April 2018) and share with your church and community. You can keep up to date with Hope Bristol 2018 via:
