BHN extends solidarity to people seeking asylum and experiencing destitution through accommodation and creative community involvement. We run a 12 bedroom men's hostel, a network of host households and a welcome centre on Mondays, along with a solidarity fund for our members and social enterprise (particularly catering). Find out more about BHN by reading through our website www.bhn.org.uk.

We are looking for an experienced Advocacy Manager to join our dedicated staff and volunteers team. We currently have a part time General Manager and Finance and Admin Manager.

The role is 3 days per week initially on a 1 year fixed term contract (one day must be a Monday when our welcome centre is open and a Friday Morning when our referrals drop in runs). Use of a computer is available and appropriate software. Funding permitting, this role could increase as the organisation grows further.

Please read through the Job Description and Person Specification (links above) carefully and if you meet the criteria, please apply to attaching a current CV with a covering letter in which you detail how you meet the requirements of the person specification. Your covering letter should fit on no more than 2 pages of A4.

Applications open on the 17th April 2017 and close on the 1st May 2017. Applicants invited to interview will be informed by email (so please include these details in your CV) by the 8h May 2017. If you do not hear by this date, we apologise, you have not been successful.

Interviews will be held in late May 2017 for an expected start date as soon as possible afterwards
