Mon 25 Sep - Online Safety & Social Media - Free Training

When: Monday 25th September 2017, 7.30-9.30pm
Where: The Kitchen @ The Station, Bristol YMCA, Silver Street, BS1 2AG

VolTrain is a partnership between several organisations, including Bristol City Council, to equip, resource and train volunteer youth workers in the Bristol area. It is open to all volunteer youth workers across both statutory and voluntary sectors and is completely free. Paid workers may also attend if they are accompanying volunteers.

This session will focus on ‘Online Safety & Social Media’.

The digital revolution has transformed how young people communicate, interact and live every aspect of their lives. This session will be looking at how youth workers can safely and effectively use social media in their youth work practice.

Led by Liz Dumain, Director of Mission for Growing Younger for the Church of England in Birmingham, and author of Youth Ministry in a Digital Age.

The training takes place on Monday 25th September, 7.30-9.30pm at The Kitchen @ The Station, Bristol YMCA, Silver Street, BS1 2AG.
