What does it mean when to build a foundation of prayer, to pray Thy Kingdom Come?

Thy Kingdom Come is a global wave of prayer that began with an invitation, from the Archbishops of Canterbury and York, for Christians across the world to pray between Ascension and Pentecost that people would come to know the love of God.

Bristol Beacon Event 2019

All are invited to the Thy Kingdom Come, ecumenical beacon event on June 2nd.
People of all ages from all denominations are invited to come together in unity to encounter Jesus and pray for God’s kingdom to come in our communities.
Bishop Viv will speak at the service of prayer, worship and reflections alongside Esther Swaffield-Bray from the international Justice Mission. Esther works with international Justice Mission whose goal is to end slavery in our lifetime. Esther is passionate communicator who has a unique gift of inspiring others to follow Jesus and fight for justice.

Doors open at Bristol Cathedral at 6:30pm and the prayer event will take place from 7:00-8:30pm.
The event is free and no ticket is required.

Thy Kingdom Come in your parish

If you are unable to attend the Beacon Event, you are encouraged to join with Christians internationally to pray during the ten days, holding in mind those whom God may be calling you to pray for.

You can pray as an individual, with your family or with your own church congregation. Resources to support your prayers, or to organise a prayer event for your church can be found here.
