Help raise £6,000 fee for a right to remain application for a family facing deportation

The Rauf family came from Pakistan 9 years ago. They are Christians who faced forced conversion to Islam in Pakistan. One of their family members was kidnapped and spent a long time being "persuaded" away from their faith of choice. This is not uncommon in Pakistan and often involves physical threats and violence.

This family came to Britain to escape this real threat. Unfortunately their story has not been believed by the home office and their appeals for asylum have constantly been rejected. They have 3 children, two having been born here. The real and genuine fear is for their safety should British born "Christian" children be forced to return to Pakistan.

They have now exhausted the asylum appeals system and face deportation. The family have one route left open to them to make a anew appeal based on their right to family and private life. Unfortunately this requires the up front payment of £1033 per person and an additional £800 for NHS fees. This money needs to be in place by next week.

They have no access to legal aid and have exhausted all other forms of help. They receive asylum support of £180 per week to pay all their household bills for a family of five and are not allowed to work. It is therefore virtually impossible for them to raise the money in time or indeed to save any money at all.
