Singing has many benefits for our health and wellbeing. It’s fun, uplifting and a great way to meet new people and connect with others. We engage our whole bodies when we sing, helping us to stay active and improving our posture and breath control. Singing is also a mindful activity that demands our full concentration, taking our minds away from worries and stress.  

During the Singing for Wellbeing workshop we will explore how singing can support the five ways to wellbeing: be active, learn, take notice, connect and give. There will be a mixture of activities: a warm-up, singing well-known songs, learning songs from around the world, body percussion…
All are welcome and no musical experience is needed!

The workshop will be facilitated by Judit Soler and Meg Brand, registered Music Therapists and leaders of the New Room Community Choir.
