During the autumn Redland Parish Church will be hosting series of services and events celebrating God as Creator and Sustainer of all life and our need to care for His creation. We wish to move towards a culture of climate care at Redland Church, and to reflect the image of God in us more fully. The second great commandment ‘Love your Neighbour’ includes care of the world in which my neighbour must live. We believe this is one of the most important issues facing our world today. A wide range of related topics is planned, covering questions such as:

• ‘Is God green?’
• ‘How far can local communities go to achieve sustainability?’
• The Bible, diversity and the extinction crisis, ‘Why creation is waiting for the Christians: why
the gospel matters to tree frogs’ and
• ‘All my relations: stewardship of nature around the world’.

We also have an exciting set of speakers including Peter Harris and Dave Bookless (respectively Co Founder and Resident Theologian, A Rocha), Vassili Papastavrou (Whale biologist and Chair, Sustainable Redland), Steve Nicholls (Wildlife film maker) and Justin Stratis (Tutor in Christian Doctrine, Trinity College).

The full festival programme, including dates, times and locations of events as well as speaker biographies, can be found here: www.redland.org.uk/creationtide.

Events are free and open to all.
