News #3 Additional Update

Preparations are developing well for the January 1st start.
Many thanks for the very positive and encouraging response to our appeal for funding.
We are pleased to report that the project now has the funds it needs for this whole year of operation! We have a good God.

Thinking further ahead, we have been asking churches to consider whether they could host the shelter in December 2020 i.e. having a pre-Christmas phase. We realise that this is a big ask and recognise that many churches would need to be making decisions such as this well in advance. We have received a few offers so far and if you think this is something for your church to consider by all means contact Amanda Munday, Project Coordinator.

Please note the link in the newsletter which enables you and others to sign up for prayer updates relating to BCWNS.
By all means share this with your congregation(s).

With every blessing for a joyous and peaceful Christmas.
Jonathan

News #2 Additional Update

In an update to the information given in the newsletter #2 below regarding finances, we now have ~ £24,000 given or pledged to fund the project.
This has enabled us to go ahead with planning for the full 13 weeks of shelter as intended. This is really encouraging, thank you.

The overall project budget has been revised and now comes to £33,310 (reduced from £36,940).
The project therefore needs £9,310 over and above the funding that we already have sight of.
Please continue to consider how your church might support this project financially, if you have not already done so.
