City wide invitation to hear and discuss with Reverend Dr Richard Sudworth, newly appointed archbishop of Canterbury’s interfaith advisor. He will be sharing his thoughts, based on mahabbayears of experience and theological reflection, on Christian Presence in a multifaith society. Whilst a deep thinker and author of books – Distinctly Welcoming and Encountering Islam - he has roots in the practicalities of having spent several years as priest in Spark Brook, Birmingham, and has an interest in grounding positive interfaith relationship and engagement in communities as well as in the academe.

There will be 2 stand alone sessions:

4pm -6pm - an afternoon discussion session where church leaders across the city and those engaged in the education sector at any level will have the opportunity to explore the challenges and responses possible when working in school settings. We’d love to see school governors, chaplains, church community workers as well as teachers attend.

6pm – 7:30pm Food and networking opportunity Please book for food.

7.30-9.30pm - an open evening session where we hope that church leaders and anyone engaged in a multifaith setting in their work/neighbourhood/volunteering would feel welcome.
