Environmental Adviser, Diocese of Bristol
Duration - 1 year Maternity Cover
Part time – 14 hours per week
£39,000 per annum (pro rata)
We are looking for a keen and talented addition to our Property Team, to help develop our work around decarbonisation and the environment, driving forward our ambitious work to become net zero carbon by 2030. This is a great opportunity to be part of small team working across a broad remit, and this post will be supported by an established colleague who can offer training and advice.
The duties of the postholder will include helping to develop and deliver the Diocesan strategy and priorities relating to the Environmental Action Programme, alongside the Director of Property; raise the profile of environmental issues across the Diocese, engaging all to take action; and liaise with all Diocesan departments to ensure integration of the environmental programme across all workplans.
We are looking for someone with experience of environmental action and a can-do approach who relishes the challenge and variety of working on multiple projects simultaneously. If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.
Based in our Diocesan Office in North Bristol, with flexible homeworking arrangements.
Disabled people, those from Black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds and people under 30 are under-represented in our workforce, so we particularly encourage applications from people in these groups.
