After two successful years of Christmas tree recycling, we are ready for your Christmas trees once more! Donate your Christmas tree this winter to Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm’s Christmas Tree Recycling event from 2nd – 23rd January 2022. Working with North Somerset Council as part of their wider tree recycling scheme, trees will be used as enrichment and turned into chippings for animal enclosures around the zoo.

Spectacled bears, Rasu and Madidi have also recently enjoyed inspecting trees to find their favourite treat, honey, between branches! Elephants and rhinos have previously enjoyed exploring a set up planted forest and lions have picked their way through trees for their dinner. The wider benefit for the zoo is the predicted 10 tons approximately of chippings that come from the trees. This goes into a range of animal enclosures, from tapirs, coati, spectacled bears and even with the elephants.
