Further Details and requests:

Dear All

I can now confirm that a vigil will take place at 2.00pm on College Green on Sunday April 3rd.  This will be an opportunity for the Church to lead the City in  remembrance and prayer for the victims of the war in Ukraine and also pray for peace.

Churches Together for Greater Bristol are facilitating this event and the strong desire is that no one is excluded and it be seen as a city event and not an exclusive Church event.  Please note: Could you please encourage people to attend wearing Blue and Yellow items.

The event is designed to be inclusive so any banners which are not in tune with this key point will not be allowed.
Stewards will wear yellow tabards and be identifiable by a Churches Together identity badge.

There will be a megaphone available for emergency communication, but there will not be any PA or music. I am sorry for this short notice, but we were only contacted on Wednesday by CT England, but Church leaders felt we had to make a bigger response than just praying in our respective services.

Could you please ask in your churches for volunteer Stewards and First Aid qualified volunteers, but only if they can bring a first aid kit.

Please ask prospective volunteers to contact Ian at:

Kind Regards
Ian
