It’s been a time of transition for Love Family (the Family Sphere)
It’s been a time of transition for Love Family (the Family Sphere). Jane Auld retired from co-facilitating in February 2022, when she also stepped down from the National Parenting Initiative. We are very grateful for her tireless leadership, her heart for families and her great skills at networking and encouraging the local church in their support of families.
In April we were saddened by Guy West’s death and we will miss his wonderful enthusiasm, faithful prayers and his valued contribution to Parent Buddies and The Relationship Academy. Please do pray for his wife Tania and his four children and their families as they adjust to life without him.
Stu Dendy
We are delighted that Stu Dendy (see photo above) has agreed to join Sarah Abell as co-facilitator of the sphere. Stu is the Bristol co-ordinator for Home for Good, a UK charity that looks to inspire the church family to take up the mandate to foster, adopt and provide supported lodgings for teenagers, children who really need a home. Stu is married to Sarah and has four lively children, three of which are adopted. He returned from Uganda last year, after 11 years overseas with a Christian NGO. Stu loves all things family and says that he has the grey hairs to prove it! He looks forward to being more involved in the family sphere in the coming months.
Please continue to pray for all the individuals, charities and organisations working to support and encourage families in Bristol and for more people to join the core team of Love Family as we seek God’s heart for the next season.
