Bristol Noise Update (including new job advert) September 2022

Dear Bristol Noise supporters, We wanted to let you know some brief updates on Bristol Noise related information and would love your support by sharing with friends and in churches too.

We are advertising for an ‘Event Coordinator’ to plan, organise and promote ‘The Noise’ event in Spring 2023, which is taking place on Saturday 29th April - Monday 1st May 2023.

Hours: 22.5 hrs per week (across 3/4 days) Location: Office based in Horfield Contract: Fixed term from Late November 2022 – May 2023 Salary: £24,000 (pro-rata) per annum

Welcoming Spaces across Bristol
It has been great to hear of at least 19 churches and many other organisations around the city who will be opening up 'Welcoming Spaces' from October onwards. As a city we are coming together to provide warm venues for people to go to as we face the cost of living crisis. This is another way of working out the Noise365 vision in our neighbourhoods.

There are a number of resources that we would recommend to help with funding and ideas, if you want to get something up and running in your community.

Noise365 is about how we inspire Christians across Bristol to ‘show God’s love in practical ways’ the whole year round. Currently, Noise 365 includes:

Resource bank - Sharing good practice, ideas and stories of learning and success from different churches and neighbourhoods, to inspire and equip the church with practical ideas of how to show God’s love all year round. Check out the ideas and stories here.
Training - Sharing relevant training opportunities, and working with others to host training that equips churches with the skills to enhance how they connect with community. All the latest opportunities that we have found are here and updated regularly.
Volunteer Opportunities - Connecting you with opportunities to show God’s love in practical ways, joining in with what’s already happening in the city and in your neighbourhood. Follow us on twitter here or on our website for all the latest opportunities
Consultancy - Offering tailored support for churches looking to use social action to build better community relationships.

All the activities of The Noise event and Bristol Noise Charity are funded by individuals, churches and a few grants that are obtained. As trustees, we have been applying for some funding towards our core costs of staffing and also the Noise event.
