It was really special and exciting to have over
150 people attend the Bristol City of Hope event in June. It was a great opportunity to come together, as one expression of a city-wide church, to look at a few of the city’s challenges and to express something of a Kingdom unity and purpose.
As new needs arise, as challenges change and as we further deepen our understanding of complex deep-rooted issues -
we need to shape the way we work and continually respond to issues of social justice.
That broader work will almost certainly involve us all in diverse, but inclusive ways, at different times across many places. We need to acknowledge the gaps, listen to unheard voices and recognise that Bristol is a city of hope but is also a city of needs.
So, as we look forward, we need a continued spirit of partnership and collaboration. In a
range of locations across the city, we are looking to host workshops/sessions to bring communities together, to continue to champion issues, and to encourage change.
