Hello Hub Community,
Hope you are enjoying this late summer sunshine.
We are delighted to remind you that we launch the Hub including an exciting programme of workshops on Monday 11th September. Workshop information and plans for the first 6 weeks can be found on our
website.
We have had some great parent drop in sessions over the past few weeks on Zoom. It was lovely to meet some of you and we got a lot of useful insight from our conversations. We’re looking forward to perhaps seeing more of you in person this coming week!
Some brief highlights and news to share:
We’re so excited to have our Tuesday Hub venue confirmed as the office space of a local company, ISL Talent on Baldwin St (just by Bristol Bridge). The team work from home on Tuesdays and are keen to give back and invest in the next generation. The space is awesome and we are super excited to be able to make it our own every Tuesday. It’s perhaps the ideal space for those young people who want to come along but perhaps not take part in our scheduled workshop - there is plenty of space to spread out, a kitchen (with table tennis) and smaller meeting rooms to work in. We’re gathering ideas for things to have on hand in the Hub - please do add your thoughts in the suggestions thread.
We also (just!) confirmed our
Wednesday Hub venue as
The Orange Tree Hub on Park St. We are super excited about this space and will share more information and photos later in the week.
We’re excited to met some of you this week at our ‘meet the team/see the space sessions.’ This will be an opportunity for those young people who would like to join the Hub to come an see the spaces, meet us and ask any questions they/you may have.** Come say hello!
Book using the following links on Heartbeat:
**We’ll offer the same taster type sessions once we’re up and running - let us know if you’d like to visit before joining a session.
Booking sessions from 11th September:
We have tested our day to day booking system with a couple of willing parents and the site is now live. We have chosen to partner with
KidsClubHQ as they are Ofsted compliant, enable us to hold all your details securely (including any medical information, diatary needs or allergies, consents, emergency contact info etc) as well as enable easy payment and electronic sign in/out.
Following our link, you will be asked to create an account and then will be able to add details and book your young person in. Again, we are in a pilot phase - our plan is a full integrated platform for comms and bookings, for this season we get to test and try different, this will help us design our own in the future.
Follow this
link to the booking system.
We feel excited to be finally getting going, we have been planning hard for this moment and are confident we have the frameworks in place and great workshops on offer to enable the Hub to launch well.
We are keen for feedback from you and your young person. Please keep these reflections coming either through email: hello a_t streamslearninghub d_o_t com or on Heartbeat.
Warmly,
Jo, Caroline & Fabienne
