Hello friends of Just Love,
We hope this email finds you really well and that you have been enjoying some better weather as we have moved into spring. In Edinburgh, where I am writing this email from, April has brought beautiful cherry blossoms across the city - which feels like a symbol of hope and restoration!
We have had a fantastic month at Just Love, with Just Love Easter Training (JLET) being a big highlight - thank you so much to all of you who were covering that event in prayer. Read on to find out about some of our JLET highlights, as well as some ways that you can be praying for Just Love over the coming month. As always, we are so grateful for your continued support and prayers! |

Highlights from Just Love Easter Training
|
|
The biggest highlight of the past month has undoubtedly been our two Just Love Easter Training events (known as JLET). We had a fantastic time in London and Edinburgh, with 62 students beginning their journey on a Just Love committee. At JLET, we spent time exploring some key topics with the students around the theology of justice, prayer, leadership, team dynamics and much more.
It was particularly exciting to see the students getting to know each other better, as well as making connections with those on Just Love committees across the UK. Of course, we also had lots of space for fun where both the students and staff team could show off their talents in ceilidh dancing or the card game, Exploding Kittens!
You can hear what some JL students had to say about JLET below |

”I’ve had such a renewed excitement of faith. I’ve been in a bit of a ‘going through the motions phase’ and this time has completely changed that. I feel so excited to spend time with God, learn about him, and live in his love seeking biblical justice” - student at JLET
?”JLET exceeded all my expectations! I feel really inspired to think bigger and wider about what this year could be for me and my committee. Each speaker has gifted me with skills and challenges which I've never considered- that is so rare!!" - JLET student
“I feel like I have become a part of an extended family.” - JLET student |

We are so excited to see all that this new cohort of students will bring to Just Love, and the fantastic things that they will do in their student groups over the coming year. Please be praying for them as they begin their time on committee, particularly that they would be able to take all that they learned, and dreamed up, at JLET and be able to practically apply it to the context of their Just Love groups. |
|
Another highlight from the last few months has been the 'Stand for Freedom' events run by students across the UK. In the last few months, Just Love student groups across the UK have been standing for freedom, fundraising for International Justice Mission (IJM) and raising awareness of the issue of human trafficking on their university campuses.
5 Just Love groups - Newcastle, Durham, Glasgow, Cardiff and Notts - have completed the challenge, standing for a total of 84 hours on their campuses and raising a total of £8983.92 to support the work of IJM! Students involved note encouraging interactions with passersby as a particular highlight, as well as moments of sung worship and prayer.

Thank you, as always, for praying with us for the work of Just Love. This month, we would love you to join in praying for: |

Exam Season for Just Love Students
Pray for those stepping onto Just Love student committees, particularly in this exam season. Pray for peace for Just Love students submitting final assignments and beginning exams. Pray that they would be well supported, able to manage their time effectively and that most importantly, they would know the close love and comfort of God during a stressful season.
Funding and Resourcing of our Movement
We would also love you to continue to be praying for the resourcing of our movement. Please continue to pray for generous provision, successful grant applications and the running of successful fundraisers, as we seek to grow our donor base.
