Yes I know it is early for Christmas, but for many of us in the workplace the early part of December is a key time for outreach to colleagues. We get opportunities to be open about our Christian faith and hold events such as Carol Services and Christmas Teams calls, and post about our faith on company Intranet sites. You may already be well advanced in preparations!

 

So, here are some of the ways that Transform Work can help: 

 

Ideas and resources

 

We have been helping Christian Workplace Groups at Christmas for twenty years and have information on the web site that can help. These include activities that have worked in a variety of different workplaces: Christmas : Transform Work

 

Prayer with other workplaces

 

We run a series of prayer times at the start of Advent called "Jesus to be revealed" where we bring Christian Workplace Group leads together to pray for the season ahead, where we pray for each other that through our activities, colleagues may come to know Jesus for themselves. This year, we are holding three prayer times, so keep free Tuesday 26th. 12.30-13.00, Wednesday 27th. 17.30-18.30, and Thursday 28th. 07.30-08.00. Registration will be available on the web site shortly: www.transformwork.net. You may also want to dedicate your weekly meeting to praying into this time of outreach. 

 

National Christmas campaign: Shine Your Light 

 

We are linked up with the national Shine Your Light campaign, where churches are being encouraged to hold services or carols outside the church building (this was on various breakfast shows last Christmas). Let us know what you are doing as outreach at Christmas in your workplace and we can feed this in as part of the national campaign for Christmas awareness - just send us your organisation, date and time, and the activity (carol service) to the email address Office a_t Transformwork d_o_t net and we will include your details.
