Between October and March
The
Bristol Churches Shelter involved 150 volunteers from 20 churches, helping 20 people.
Good Faith Partnership set up 105 Warm Welcome Spaces, for those struggling with heating and eating, 33 of which were in churches. The15 Ukrainian hubs continued.
January
Christian Action Bristol's gathering for social action and other leaders at St George's.
Church leaders gathered on Zoom for the last quarterly prayer gathering with Mayor Marvin Rees
February
The Sport sphere had a breakfast prayer and share for key Sports charities in Bristol and Bath (and in October).
March
About 200 gathered on Zoom in the morning, and nearly 200 came in the evening to Bristol Cathedral to pray and act about knife crime
April Kingdom Creatives (Arts sphere) gathering at Joseph Studios, with whom they are partnering. Weekly Zoom prayer continues.
May
The Mayoral system ended in Bristol and over 25 church leaders met with Mayor Marvin at Hope Prayer Centre.
Together4Bristol (T4B)'s Pentecost gathering with about 200 at Woodlands church, with worship led by a diverse young adults band.
The Noise 2024 involved over 750 volunteers from 46 churches serving through 49 small practical projects and 17 community events across Bristol estates over the May Bank Holiday weekend.
The Noise 365 now helps this happen throughout the year.
June
There was a breakfast gathering for a dozen key professional and business leaders on the Upper Reaches Prayer barge, whose Trustees now facilitate the Business and Workplace sphere. There is weekly prayer for business in Bristol. This sphere includes Transform Work, with about 30 Christian Workplace Groups (CWGs), plus Bristol Chaplaincy, linking over 90 chaplains.
As mall group from Bristol went to the Gather Movement Summit, which brings together "Unity for Mission Movements" from over 150 towns and cities across the UK.
July
The
Health sphere had weekly Zooms for encouraging creativity, for healing and for the Healing Centre Project. The Bristol Healing Rooms gather weekly and there are CWGs at Southmead hospital and the BRI. Hope Prayer Centre celebrated 25 years, with a gathering to pass on th baton to about 150 young people. September Church leaders gathered in person for their quarterly prayer breakfast. A group, linking to over 70, meet on Zoom weekly to share and pray.
Over 150 young adults from diverse backgrounds gathered for Hineni, an evening of worship and envisioning at the Bristol Old Vic
The Education sphere joined with Prayer for Schools to pray for Education in Bristol. Three times a year there is prayer for about 30 key Christians involved in Education. Transforming Lives for Good (TLG) continues in 8 schools on deprived estates.
November
The Bristol Media Hub (Christians in Media and T4B's Media sphere) had a networking gathering at the Watershed.
About 70 gathered for T4B's Annual Celebration with Mark Greene, of LICC.
December The Family sphere (Love Family) gathered in person for Christmas drinks. Christian organisations gather on Zoom each month for share and prayer. Over 2024, the 100 Friends Appeal raised over £2k out of a target of £5k to help T4B's website become sustainable financially. The Bristol Churches City Fund has raised nearly £400k for social action projects since it was set up.
