Hi folks,

Hope you're all keeping well.

I don't know if you've had the experience where something happens and you think, "You know what, I could die happy now". That happened as I saw some very talented people grasp something very important. The BOUNDLESS project that I've been working on with some of the UK's most prominent song-writers is emerging into the light of day. Our song 'Before' has just been launched and is available in all the usual places. The aim of BOUNDLESS is to improve and broaden the vocabulary we use when we come together to sing beyond mere 'sanctuary language' to language that connects with the reality of our modern lives. I'll tell you the whole story very soon, but suffice to say I think a shift has happened, and I can feel it - article here. Video here. LICC and Integrity Music have worked so hard to make it all a reality, and I am so thankful to them...

The songwriters/artists involved are Lou Fellingham, Noel Robinson, Philippa Hanna, Graham Kendrick, Elle Limebear, Steph McLeod, Lucy Grimble, Jemimah Paine, Sam Hargreaves, Joel Payne, Nick Herbert, Laura Goldthorp, Steve Renswick, Nathan Jess, Marc James, and Donna Akodu. Each song was put together with a theologian in the room for the whole time to nudge and steer. We really pray the combination brings some 'non-disposable' home-grown songs into your world!


And on Sunday BBC1 Songs of Praise featured me talking about the project and music in general. The response has been really encouraging, so here is the whole episode , and here is the compressed version of my bit!
