Hi Friend,

In the coming weeks, a bill will be going through Parliament where MPs will vote on the proposed cuts to disabled people’s social security.

Our analysis shows that, if this bill passes, 440,000 disabled people and their families will be forced into severe hardship. But, if enough MPs vote against it, we can stop this bill from becoming law and show the UK government why they need to make our social security system fit for purpose.

We only have a few weeks. Will you ask your MP to vote against these cuts?

At the same time this bill is being tabled, more than 700 food bank staff, volunteers and people with lived experience are meeting with their MPs to call for urgent action on hunger and hardship.

They are raising their collective concern about the huge numbers of people going without the essentials in their communities because our social security system is not fit for purpose.
This unifying moment for our movement demonstrates our collective strength as we call on MPs to take urgent action on hardship.
As our social security system is facing huge cuts which risk pushing more people to food banks and other community food organisations, there’s never been a more urgent time for change.

P.S. Disabled people are already three times more likely to face hunger. If you can, please make a difference by donating today.
Ending hunger together
