Sun 21 Sep - Inter Faith Peace Walk
When: Sunday 21st September 2025, 4pm, setting off around 4.15pm
Where: Castle Park - at the entrance near the top of Union St
International Day of Peace is observed around the world on 21st September each year. It is a globally shared date for all humanity to commit to peace, over and above all differences.
We are writing to invite you to join Bristol Interfaith Group to mark this special date with a walk for all the family, lighting up Bristol with a message of peace and unity.
The theme of Peace Day this year is Act Now for a Peaceful World. From peacekeepers on the front llines of conflict, to community members, to students in classrooms around the world, everyone has a role to play. We must speak up against violence, hate, discrimination, and inequality; practice respect; and embrace the diversity of our world.
We invite you to act now and join our second annual peace walk, which will bring together people and families from all faiths and beliefs to share our hopes for peace in the world, and in our own hearts.
We will gather at Castle Park - at the entrance near the top of Union St at 4pm, setting off around 4.15pm to walk to College Green.
We expect to arrive at College Green around 4.45-5.00pm where we will gather to share a minute of silent reflection for world peace, after which there wll be time to mingle and connect with others.
What to wear / bring: The weather in the UK in September can be varied and sometimes unpredictable. Please wear suitable footwear and clothing for the season. Bring water to drink and waterproofs or an umbrella if the forecast is wet.
Winter warmer
Our next event will take place in January 2026, welcoming the new year with a cosy gathering where we welcome people of all faiths and none to join in community and connection.
