What does it truly look like for the Church to step beyond surface-level unity into deep oneness that transforms our cities?
-
How do we collaborate in ways that lead to genuine, lasting social impact?
-
How can we work more effectively with local authorities and civic leaders?
-
How do we map and celebrate the extraordinary work already happening across our church communities?
-
How can we work together better to respond to the growing Quiet Revival?
-
How do we navigate the growing challenges of difference and division in our towns and cities?
If these questions resonate, the Gather Movement National Summit 2026 is for you.
Join church, charity and civic leaders from across the UK as we listen, learn, share and wrestle with these challenges together.
Through stories, practical insight and honest conversation, we’ll explore how unity and oneness can accelerate social, cultural and spiritual transformation in our places.
This year, we’ll also be giving intentional space to the spiritual formation of unity and city transformation leaders – with dedicated opportunities for prayer, reflection and ministry.
Come expectant.
Come ready to connect.
Come ready to build One Love

This month we get to know Linda Ward who has been a key leader in the West London Leaders Unity Movement.
What's your name, and where do you live?
I’m Linda Ward and I live in the borough of Ealing.
If you were a chocolate bar, which one would you be?
It would probably be a Toblerone because each piece, when put together, makes quite an interesting, strong structure and it's quite hard to break a piece off. So I can't help, but equate that with unity, we’re designed to be together.
Why are you passionate about unity?
Because we can do far more together than we can do on our own. It's enriching to work across the different denominations, charitable sectors, business sectors, with the Met Police. We do a lot with social services and we're doing more now with the council as a result of working with Gather Movement through the Movement for Recovery initiative. To me, that makes sense - why be Lone Rangers? Surely a collective effort is more powerful than just operating on our own.
What is one thing that excites you about your borough?
It's completely diverse. We have around 336,000 people in our borough. It's very mixed culturally, so there are lots of opportunities to learn. I love the food! We’re really blessed to have a whole myriad of different tastes and flavors and smells you can experience on our doorstep. I just love the fact that we are so mixed and that's very precious.
What's your favourite part about working with Gather Movement?
I love the people. Gather Movement by nature is relational and so we know that if you plan or scheme anything around the kitchen table, that's where the life and the soul of a party is, when you're around a kitchen table. Out of that, the expertise and the wisdom and the experience that Gather Movement offers is exceptional. We're benefiting from all the expertise around the movement for recovery and that is going to enable us to propel forward in the borough with not only the churches, but other faith groups and all the different agencies. Gather Movement have been able to be involved in those discussions and broker some of those on our behalf, which is brilliant.

Extreme Challenge with Hope For Justice
Are you looking for a challenge where adventure meets justice?
Join a team of adventurers and fundraisers and do something truly special in the fight against modern slavery and human trafficking. Hope for Justice’s Extreme Challenge for 2026 is a seven-day trip from the Salish Sea across the North Shore Mountains that tower over Vancouver in British Columbia. This series of epic treks shows off the pride of Western Canada, rising dramatically from the coastal waters to heights of 2,400m (7,000 feet). This adventure will take you to your limits and will change your perception of what you can achieve – it may even change your life!
Your church could send participants and join a team led by Hope for Justice CEO, Tim Nelson. The trekkers’ fundraising could free more victims of modern slavery and provide trauma-informed aftercare for survivors.
Do something powerful for others! |

Our Vision is to see a unified Church working together across every city and town, to see social, cultural and spiritual transformation across the UK. We are grateful to God for how far the Movement has come but we still have a long way to go.
Could you, or your unity group, help us to deliver this vision by becoming a Gather Movement Supporter?
