Finance Trustee: Wellspring Counselling Ltd

The role: Being part of the Board of Trustees, providing financial oversight and reporting on the financial affairs of the charity. Working closely with the Chair of Trustees, Director and Senior Administrator to provide financial governance including forecasting and prayerful decision making. The role requires you to be someone with a background as a finance professional who can understand accounting and risk.

Mission: We are looking for someone to join our passionate, caring group of Trustees who believe in our ethos which is to provide low-cost counselling and mental health support for people who cannot obtain it through the NHS nor afford to pay for it privately. Wellspring was started in 1994 by local clergy and Christian GPs who wanted to serve God by providing this much needed service in North Somerset.

This is a voluntary role with big rewards as you will see the amazing impact our counselling service has on young people and adults in this community.

Hours: 1.5 hours every two months for attending the Board Meeting. Possibly between 2-6 hours a month for overseeing accounting process and liaising with staff.

Location: Nailsea Methodist Church and Holy Trinity Church Nailsea, North Somerset.
